He Was There All Along
”Without a Word”
God are you out there? Has this thought ever crossed your mind? Pheww…thought it was just me.
In the silence it can seem like no one is home. Like God doesn’t exist or if he does, He’s nowhere to be found.
This one time I was multi tasking, running around the house, and then suddenly had to race out the door to get to an appointment. There was one problem… I couldn’t find my keys. I looked between couch cushions, on the counter, in the junk drawer, behind plants… and they were no where to be found! And then I yelled out to my husband, “Have you seen my keys??” To which he responded, “They are in your hands.” 🤦🏻♀️ I cannot believe they were right in front of my face the whole time. It happens to the best of us. We can get this way with God too.
We are so preoccupied and distracted that we often look in the wrong places for Him when He was there all along.
God beautifully makes himself known in the things around us. This piece of the northern lights is painted in acrylic to represent the heavens shouting, “CHECK THIS OUT! GOD IS REAL! HE IS HERE” and has his signature painted in the sky. God was here. And still is.
“The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.”
